Standards slipped
The hotel boasts an excellent location and a beautifully arranged lobby. While the spacious room and comfort were commendable, breakfast fell short with cold dishes and disorganized service. Dining at the restaurant had mixed reviews, but the staff's attentiveness helped salvage the experience. Still, I left wishing for improved quality on food and breakfast service.

I had a pleasant stay at Gateway in Dundalk. Check-in felt smooth, and plenty of parking made life easy. The lobby had a cozy vibe, perfect for relaxing. My room on the 10th floor had great views and was spotless. The shower had fantastic pressure and the bath products smelled divine. The bed was super comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep. Though the restaurant service was disappointing, with several staff ignoring my party's requests, the breakfast was lovely. Friendly staff members were a bright spot, but the restaurant issues really took away from the experience. A long wait for service and unresponsive staff made dining here frustrating.

Family with children will love this
The reception guy was excellent at check-in, really seemed to care. And my kids, they adored the rooftop restaurant – kid friendly staff made it special.
Pricey, not exactly cheap but you kinda get what you pay for.

enjoyable walks to parks and local attractions nearby
I stayed for four nights in a King Room, and the bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to rest after long walks through the local parks and around Dundalk. The hotel's free parking was a great bonus allowing for convenient sightseeing at nearby places like Muirhevnamor Park, just 1 km away, and the historic Windmill Tower, less than 3 km from the hotel.

We had such a nice time here! The pool was fantastic, and I really loved how we could relax on the sun terrace while watching other guests enjoying the BBQ facilities. The only thing was that the desserts seemed a bit pricey, but honestly, that didn’t spoil our fun at all! 😊

The room was warm, comfortable, and quiet, making for a pleasant atmosphere. The food was exceptional, especially the tasty sandwiches, and the breakfast offering was extensive. Unfortunately, a series of issues arose, including a lack of heating in the room and repeated fire alarms that interrupted sleep. This experience overshadowed the positives, making it difficult to fully enjoy our stay.

Luxurious stay with impressive views
I recently stayed in a Twin Room for one night, and I was truly impressed. The room was spacious and luxurious, with a beautiful view of Dundalk Bay. I loved the convenient coffee and tea amenities, and the breakfast spread was delightful with a variety of options. The staff were very accommodating and the hotel lobby made a fantastic first impression. However, I found the bar area a bit crowded at times, making it hard to get a drink.
